Welcome to Year 7

Welcome to year 7, the first year of your secondary school journey. This is a really exciting time in your education and there’s lots to look forward to.

Here at YJB students will be taught a range of subjects by subject specialists. We believe that the expert teacher is the most valuable resource to ensure all students make progress in their skills, knowledge and understanding in all of their subjects. During Year 7, students are taught in mixed ability classes; we strive to ensure students are stretched and challenged but also supported and nurtured to develop as well-rounded and qualified individuals.

Alongside the taught curriculum we also have a broad range of extracurricular activities and trips available to students from the sport
