Year 10 Welcome
Your child has begun their GCSE journey. It is an exciting time as it starts to lay the foundation for their future. We have very high expectations for your child’s academic achievement and their behaviour and commitment to the school’s ethos. We expect pupils in Year 10 to set the high standards to which our younger pupils can aspire. This includes courtesy and respect for others.
Your child will study English, English Literature, Maths and Numeracy, Science, Welsh Baccalaureate, Welsh, Core RE and Core PE. They will also study their option subjects. Please see the Study Guide links below.

The school has an attendance policy of 95% or above. All medical and dental appointments should be scheduled for outside of school hours. However, if your child is off school for any reason, please contact the attendance officer via the school reception at your earliest convenience and provide us with written evidence for the absence on your child’s return to school.
