Year 8 Religious Studies students at Ysgol John Bright, Llandudno are to be congratulated for their excellent effort and generosity during the annual Festival and Cultural celebration days, held during Religious Education lessons.
A total of £162 pounds was raised for Ty Gobaith which beat last year’s total of £92. The event encourages students to research and appreciate the Christmas customs and festivals from other countries and religions throughout the world. The students participate in games, tasting traditional foods and have fun through kinaesthetic learning. The purpose of the event is to appreciate the rich cultural background of the students that we have in Ysgol John Bright and how they enrich our vibrant school community.
Students were extremely fortunate recently to be visited by Ty Gobaith fundraiser Mrs. Beverley Bradley, who addressed the students on the vital work and essential care that the hospice provides in serving the local community. Mrs. Bradley was also presented with a second cheque donated by Ysgol John Bright following the Christmas Carol service collection held at St. John’s Methodist Church, Llandudno.
